I competed in the Sepang 1000KM race for the 3rd time in a row. The past two years I raced in the Toyota Vios category with Axle Motorsports. This year I drove the Honda Jazz alongside Jwan Hii and James Russell with the Motul Awesome Racing Team.
It’s always tough adapting to front-wheel drive cars, but having two very quick teammates makes it much easier to find the pace. Being able to compare onboard videos and data with quick drivers is a cheat-code to speed.
We brought the car home in 3rd place! A few car issues in practice meant we didn’t get a lot of time to run the car, which definitely cost us time in terms of being prepared properly with strategy and affected at least my own ultimate padce – but stepping up onto the podium was a great reqard for the hard work everyone had put it.
